Dr. Brownjohn is an experienced general practitioner in recent years focussing more on occupational medicine (including work injury management and diving medicine) and providing support to patients pre and post laparoscopic banding surgery. Since the mid 80's he has been a partner in Carpentaria Medical Centre involved with the day to day running of the practice which has had a focus on occupational medicine but aims to also provide quality general practice services.

12th of March, 1993 Basic and Advanced Courses in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine, Royal Adelaide Hospital. Approved Diving Medical Doctor for recreational and commercial divers. Performance of hypertonic saline provocation testing in divers, athletes and military personnel to quantify airways reactivity.
20th of March, 2008 Obesity Update & Laparoscopic Gastric Banding Workshop. Pre-operative education of obese patients and post operative adjustment of the band.
